Scope & Content

This collection concerns the operations of the Middle Tennessee State University local chapter of the American Association of University Professors.  The organizational records, reports and resolutions, publications, and correspondence with the national and state divisions contained in this collection are broad in scope, spanning from approximately 1966 to 1995.  Divided into local, state, national, and publications series, the AAUP materials reflect MTSU’s involvement in pertinent issues within both state and federal undertakings and its own sphere.  Amassed over many years by an unknown number of MTSU AAUP executive council members, the materials, though incomplete, are representative of the local chapter’s chief operations.
