SCOPE AND CONTENT

Scrapbooks, letters, newspapers, two cookbooks, and commemorative items comprise this collection.  Photographs and two scrapbooks from the Rutherford County Democratic Women provide insight into Zadie Key’s political career and ways that Rutherford County Democratic women organized in the 1970s and 1980.  The scrapbooks include correspondence, photographs, newspaper clippings, and newsletters chronicling the organization’s activities.  The collection contains 1.75 linear feet of material.  The collection is divided into two series – Series 1: Political and Series 2: Personal.
