Hollon Scope & Content
The Hollon Collection contains materials pertaining to World War II, focusing particularly on the Allied Invasion of Normandy, France, on D-Day (June 6, 1944). The majority of this collection consists of published histories, personal recollections, and commemorative materials primarily dating from the 1980s. However, a small portion of primary sources date back to the 1940s. Items in the Hollon Collection include magazines, newspapers, article clippings, war memorial promotional items, photographs, ration stamps, and various correspondences, as well as maps, videos, and posters. Resources pertaining to the Company M, 116th Infantry/29th Division of the United States Army are also in abundance.
