 Alice Ray explains her love of antiques and her work to help establish Cannonsburgh.

"I have two pieces that belong to Andrew Jackson and Rachel.  I have a candle stand that my sister bought in the early '30s at an auction sale of the Donelson family.  Rachel was a Donelson.  It was over in Donelson where she bought it.  It was in such bad shape that it was falling down.  [. . .]  He was able to do beautiful work of putting it back together.  All it needed was a little loving care.  [. . .]  The candle stand was said to be made by a friend or a neighbor of the Jacksons, and he made it and gave it to them for a wedding present."
