Bud Morris recalls a funny incident that he was involved in while a student at MTSU in the mid-sixties:

"Ben, Jr., was able to bring a little piglet in, and we nicknamed that piglet Paula May Queen, our Paula May. And um, we ran her for the May Queen, and we had a little thing outside of uh, of the students' center, had a little pen there and Paul May in there; we had sign around--Paula May for--and Paula May won. Paula May pig won the queen election, and that was the last year we ever had a May Queen. The last time we ever had it."
