| Ben Hutcherson recalls some of the projects he worked on
while serving in the Civilian Conservation Corps.
"At Coker Creek, I worked as a rock crusher. The rock crushing business was like anything else; it was by hand mostly. They would blast the rock out of the hill, put it in a wheelbarrow and roll it up on a ramp and dump it into the rock crusher. The whole year I was there, that's what I did. (What did you do at the other camp?) At the other camp we had tree setting crews. Since Norris Lake was new, we had a crew that worked on the shoreline of the lake to clean out debris."
