Daniel Harley Fite is possibly MTSU's oldest living alumnus.  Mr. Fite earned his BS degree in 1927.

(And so in 1925 it changed to State Teacher’s College.   Did you notice any change when that happened other than the name?)

Oh, of course they had a lot of celebrations is about all the change I saw.   The teaching was the same, and the people were the same.

(What was the campus like when you started there?)

Well it’s hard to say.  They didn’t have as many buildings as they have now.  I think they had a men’s dormitory and a women’s dormitory, an administration building, and a cafeteria.  That’s what they had.   I think that’s all.
