SCOPE AND CONTENT
The
Goldstein’s Collection includes a wide assortment of personal and business
papers, as well as some photographs. Documents
range in date from the 1890s through the 1970s, with the bulk dating between the
1930s and 1960s. Because of
Bernard’s involvement during this time period, much of the collection is his.
Included are tax records, sales records, financial statements, and
letters and receipts from both the family’s business and their personal life.
Although small, the collection is important, as not many records
pertaining to Jewish families are available in
