SERIES DESCRIPTION

Series 1: Family (1 Box)
The Family series consists documents; wills, family trees, correspondence and memoirs related to the Jenkins, Donnell, and Rucker family histories.

Series 2: Correspondence (1 Box)
The Correspondence series consists of letters extending from 1910-1944. The letters in this series where written to and saved by Mary Donnell.

Series 3: Accounts and Ledger (1 Box)
The Accounts and Ledger series extend from 1892-1911. It shows the Donnell families accounts through this period of time.

Series 4: Expense (1 Box)
The Expense series extends from 1919-1950. This series shows the Donnell families expenses through this time period. Such expenses include housing, loan, insurance, automobile and property.

Series 5: Bank (2 Folders)
The Bank series extends from 1912-1956. It consists of bank statements and notes in regards to the Donnell family.

Series 6:Tax (4 Folders)
 The Tax series extends from 1928-1959. It consists of tax statements, and a Coffee County Tax Receipt.

 Series 7: Court (2 Boxes)
 The Court series extends throughout the 1920’s, 1930’s and 1940’s. The numerous court cases are mostly between Mary Donnell and different local banks.

 Series 8: D.A.R (2 Folders)
The Daughters of the American Revolution series consists of letters in regards to Mary Donnell’s involvement in the organization.

Series 9: Newspaper (2 Folders)
The Newspaper series consists of articles throughout the 1930’s and 1940’s. The newspapers consist of the Nashville Banner.

Series 10: Miscellaneous (5 Folders)
The Miscellaneous series consists of religious principles, Cumberland River Camping, Burpee’s Annual Garden Book of 1928 and 1931, miscellaneous documents and empty letter envelops.

Series 11: Small Booklet (1 Box)
The Small Booklet series consists of many short books, focusing on such things as woman’s clubs, religion, agriculture, account books, pocket notebooks, governmental law, medical and business Christmas cards.

 Series 12: Ephemera (1 Box)
The Ephemera series consists of a small sewing basket with accessories, 73 holiday/ party tags, wallpaper from the Marymont farmhouse, a transfer pattern, and postcard from Monteagle.

Series 13: Account and Ledger (1 Box)
The Account Ledger series consists of 18 bound books extending from 1874-1915. These detailed account books show the expenses of Donnell family through this period of time. One book consists of Dorothy Donnell’s scrapbook.

Series 14: Book (1 Box)
The Book series consists of twelve works covering a wide range of topics. The books in this series are Silas Marner; The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test; El Final De Norma; The Nations at War; Abstract of Title: Polk County, Florida; The Insurance Year Book for 1913; The United States Naval Academy, 1926; Regulations of the Naval Academy, 1931; Examination Papers for the Admission (Naval Academy); Postscript 1959: Central High School Year Book; Our Baby Book: Ridley Edward Donnell Jr.; Donnelley’s Red Book: National Telephone Directory, 1919; and Finding Aid for Donnell/ Rucker Collection.

Series 15: Image (10 envelopes)
The Image series consists of seven different images in the form of photographs and postcards found in the Donnell/ Rucker Collection.
