The Albert Gore, Sr. Research Center has some materials related to historic sites of the Civil War.

The Gulliford Collection (Andrew)
This collection documents the history of the Sam Davis home and Dr. Andrew Gulliford's work as a trustee from 1988-1995. Important topics include museum renovations, site improvement recommendations, and interpretational focus changes during Gulliford's tenure.

The Hoover Collection (Walter King Hoover)
Sam Davis Home Series:  The Hoover Collection contains newspaper clippings from the Nashville Banner, the Nashville Tennessean and the Rutherford Courier as well as poems, radio and video transcripts, and correspondence and records of the Sam Davis Home and Memorial Association.

The Pittard Collection (Homer and Mabel)
Civil War—Historic Sites Series:  The Pittard Collection includes information, research notes and correspondence on Appomattox Manor, Fort Granger, Fortress Rosecrans, Perryville Battlefield, and the Sam Davis Home.

Civil War—History Series:  This contains information about the Stones River Battlefield, including maps of the battlefield, park management plans, troop lists, troop histories, military awards, and general historical research on the battle.

The Womack Collection (Bob)
Civil War—Battles Series:  The Womack Collection has photocopies and research notes related to Civil War historic battle sites including the Battle of Franklin, the Battle of Murfreesboro, the Battle of Droop Mountain, West Virginia, the Battle of Nashville, the Battle of Perryville, the Battle of Chickamauga, the Battle of Chattanooga, the Battle of Shiloh, and the Battle of Stone's River.
