SCOPE AND CONTENT

The materials in this collection pertain to the Rutherford County Chapter of the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities.  The bulk of the collection consists of operational records such as minutes, state and chapter bylaws, treasury reports, annual reports, and membership rosters.  Correspondence also exists between the Rutherford County Chapter APTA and many other businesses and organizations, namely the APTA Headquarters in Nashville.  The APTA, both on state and chapter scales, published newsletters and bulletins, many of which are in this collection.  Miscellaneous items, such as brochures, computer data, and other organizations’ bylaws and membership rosters, complete the Rutherford County Chapter APTA collection.
