SCOPE & CONTENT

 The bulk of the Woman’s Club of Murfreesboro collection covers the eighty year period from 1916 to 1996 and relates to the general activities of the club.  The organization’s initial endeavors in partnership with the Library Association are particularly noteworthy.  Materials in the Woman’s Club of Murfreesboro collection range from the minutes of the Woman’s Club board meetings from 1916-1984 to extensive presidential reports, treasury reports from 1964-1974 and 1982-1993, financial information, committee work, and various other records.  An 1892 Library Association and Literary Club catalogue is the oldest item in the collection.
