This website is designed to help teachers incorporate local history and primary documents into their classroom.  Teachers can view suggested lesson ideas on topics in Smyrna's history that use the information provided on this site.  Each topic page will include the larger historical context, lesson ideas, and other sources related to that topic.  Teachers and students can also use the site as a research and learning tool.  For further information, teachers are encouraged to contact the Gore Research center at (615) 898-2632.
