1926  First issue of yearbook Midlander; Frank Faulkinberry becomes basketball/football coach; first Bachelor of Science awarded
 
1927  Lyon Hall, second residence hall for women, erected and named for President Lyon
 
1931   Science Hall completed
 
1934     Daily News Journal contest to name athletic teams won by football guard Charles Sarver ('36) with "Blue Raiders"
 
1935   Johnny "Red" Floyd becomes football coach
 
1938 Quintin Miller Smith ('13) becomes third president, serves until 1957
 
1939 Associated Student Body forms and adopts constitution; Charles Miller ('39) and Kathryn Meadows ('39) elected president and vice president
