As usual, the Gore Center has been bustling with activity this spring!  The landscape outside of the Center has changed dramatically, with the completion of the Quadrangle and the removal of the modulars.  I continue to work with Campus Planning on design issues related to our move to Todd in the not-too-distant future.  After numerous delays, renovation work is scheduled to move forward in May of 2002.  We hope to be occupying our new space in the Spring of 2004.

Graduate Assistant Holly Barnett and her able student workers completed a very long project to enter all of the Warden Equestrian Collection photographs into our photograph database.  Student worker Casie Johnson has made enormous progress on another long-term project, replacing the original folder housing the Gore Papers with acid-free folders.  That project is now 75% complete.

Matt Andres joined us this spring as a new graduate assistant, replacing Rich Hutchins who rotated into a teaching assistantship in the History Department.  Matt has been developing a subject guide to World War II sources in our collections.  It will be posted on our web site when it is complete.

Please visit the Gore Center and check out the ever-changing scenery!
