Gore Center Exhibits
for the
Rose and Emmett Kennon Hall of Fame

April McCauley, former Gore Center graduate assistant, designed and installed displays for the 30th annual induction ceremony of the Blue Raider Hall of Fame.  The two-day event was held in the Emmett and Rose Kennon  Sports Hall of Fame on campus September 16 and 17.  This year’s inductees are Roland McGhee (Track & Field, 1991-1994), Dennis Mix (Football, 1979-1982), and Tim Sisneros (Basketball, 1973-1976).

McCauley's design consists of six different display areas.  The exhibits  feature: the 2005 Hall of Fame inductees; Current members of the Hall of Fame; History of  "Harvey" totem pole (traditional symbol of MTSU-TN Tech rivalry); Charles (Bubba) Murphy (former student athlete, coach, and athletic director); Blue Raiders Through the Years photograph display; and the Blue Raider Experience, featuring design plans of LaPaglia & Associates for future permanent displays at the Hall of Fame.

McCauley's exhibits will remain on display throughout the football season.  The Hall of Fame is open to the public during the week.  The Hall of Fame hosts a private reception for all former athletes two hours prior to all MTSU home games.

April McCauley is a former graduate assistant at the Gore Center.  She is currently completing her thesis for the Master's Degree in Public History.
