Children's Discovery Center Train Project
The Gore Center has responded to a request for assistance from the Children's Discovery Center of Murfreesboro. The Children's Discovery Center is developing a large, new exhibit area featuring trains and train travel. We are assisting them by conducting oral history interviews with individuals who worked on railroads in any capacity. We are also interested in recording people's memories of train travel. In addition, we are providing images of trains, railroad stations, tickets, schedules, and other memorabilia related to trains and train travel from the Gore Center's collections. The exhibit will open at the Children's Discovery Center early in 2006.
