SCOPE & CONTENT

          The Middle Tennessee Athletics Collection contains materials pertaining to the university’s male athletic history and ranges from the 1930s to the 1990s.  The scope of this collection is broad.  Primary source materials such as contracts, GTE Academic All-American Team awards, T-Club membership cards, and correspondence relating to the Harvey totem pole controversy with the Tennessee Tech Eagles make up the subject files.  In addition, the university’s football programs, dating from the 1930s onward, are stored in this collection.
