This collection was established anonymously to honor the memory of Ethel
Rankin. It includes a wide variety of materials related to the Tennessee
Walking Horse, as well as photographs by Rankin's daughter, Caroline Reynolds,
who in the 1940s was one of the first women photographers in Tennessee to do
contract work for the Associated Press.
