Rankin Collection (Ethel Rankin)
  • This collection was established anonymously to honor the memory of Ethel Rankin.  It includes a wide variety of materials related to the Tennessee Walking Horse, as well as photographs by Rankin's daughter, Caroline Reynolds, who in the 1940s was one of the first women photographers in Tennessee to do contract work for the Associated Press.

Margaret Lindsley Warden Library for Equine Studies

  • Books, magazines, journals, catalogs, programs, photographs, and research notes of  person who for fifty-two years reported on equine events for  the Tennessean.  More than 2,500 bound volumes including many from the sixteenth through the nineteenth centuries and 30 cubic feet of research notes, clippings, brochures, programs, and other horse related documents.
