SERIES DESCRIPTION

Series 1:  Organizational Records (1 box, 10 folders)

This series largely consists of minutes from Bohannon Music Club meetings ranging from 1930 to 1985 (not complete).  This series also includes a treasury book of receipts and expenditures of the organization, dating from 1945 to 1964, and concert programs ranging from 1927 to 1946 (not complete). 

Series 2:  Miscellaneous (1 box, 5 folders)

A historical sketch of the organization (ca 1999), trivia, information regarding American Music Week (1971-1972), and a handbook issued by the Ladies Matinee Musicale (1930-1931) are present in this series.

Series 3:  Yearbooks (1 box, 7 folders)

Organizational yearbooks dating from 1925 to 2001 are present in this series (not complete; gaps noted in inventory). 

Series 4:  Scrapbooks (2 boxes)

Six scrapbooks documenting the Frances Bohannon Music Club make up this series.  The dates of these scrapbooks range from 1924 to 1986.

The Frances Bohannon Music Club collection contains two photographs.  They are located separately in the Frances Bohannon photograph collection.  Additionally, the Ortrum Gilbert Collection also contains materials relating to the Bohannon Music Club.  The Gore Center also has a small collection of materials of the Saunders Juvenile Music Club.
