SERIES DESCRIPTIONS

Series 1:  Genealogy (2.5 linear feet)
Folders are organized alphabetically by surname, then further by type of item - correspondence, compilation, wills, etc.  Major family names are Baskin, Blackman, Crawford, King, McCorkle, Ray, Rideout, Stephens, Woodruff.  The Thomas Rideout Ledgers (1820-1880) are boxed separately.

Series 2:  Community ( 1 linear foot)
Mr. Baskin's compiled histories of the Blackman, Barfield, Windrow communities comprise most of this series.  Rutherford County Deed Abstracts 1804-1810, Marriage Records 1804-1850, 1810 Census, and history of schools are contained in this series.  Only seven published works are included, almost exclusively regarding community histories in Cannon, Maury, and Rutherford Counties.

Series 3: Civilian Conservation Corps (3 folders)
This small group consists of two magazine articles, a calendar, CCC publications, and a scrapbook.

Series 4:  Golf (2 folders)
Limited information on the history of golf courses in Rutherford County with diagrams, is the extent of this series.
